Ventura Region 39 proudly offers programs for all children ages 3 to 18 years.

There are six core values – or what we call AYSO’s Six Philosophies – that are the foundation of our programs:

These are the essence of AYSO, and it all starts with Everyone Plays. Here in AYSO, Everyone Plays means that no kid spends their soccer experience sitting on the bench. Every kid plays three-quarters of every game. Teams are put together in a way that makes playing soccer about the experience, not wins or losses. It’s not about blowing out another team; it’s about sportsmanship and learning to be the best possible teammate and opponent. Developing players is what we’re about because soccer skills and life skills go hand in hand. AYSO’s main purpose is to get kids on the field, provide them with good coaches, and teach them to play soccer.

	4U PLAYGROUND Boys & Girls ages 4 and under Playtime is a pre-soccer program that works on developing children's physical motor skills. *This program requires parent participation.* 5U * This is not a coed division. * Boys & Girls ages 5 and under Schoolyard is designed to introduce basic soccer fundamentals and expose children to the game of soccer in a fun and low-pressure setting.

6U / 7U / 8U
Boys & Girls Divisions
* These are not coed divisions. *
Our 6U, 7U, and U8 divisions focus on exposing children to the game of soccer, building basic fundamental soccer skills
and applying them in fun, non-competitive game situations.
At this level, games are played on smaller modified fields
without goalkeepers.

COMPETITIVE DIVISIONS

10U / 12U / 14U
Boys & Girls Divisions
* These are not coed divisions. *
These competitive divisions play on modified fields
(larger than our non-competitive fields) with goalkeepers.
All levels include 10 games and
the possibility of advancing to post-season playoffs.

16U & 18U
Boys & Girls Divisions
* These are not coed divisions. *
Our 19U teams do participate inter-region games with teams from Area 10W,
not all games are played in Ventura.
Our season does conclude in time for players to participate in
their high school season.
